The bark_noise_hybridmp function in psy.c in Xiph.Org libvorbis 1.3.5 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (out-of-bounds access and application crash) or possibly have unspecified other impact via a crafted mp4 file.
The bug was discovered 09/21/2017. The weakness was published 09/21/2017 with Qihoo 360 GearTeam (Website). The advisory is shared for download at openwall.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2017-14160 since 09/05/2017. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation.
