On Wireless IP Camera (P2P) WIFICAM devices, access to .ini files (containing credentials) is not correctly checked. An attacker can bypass authentication by providing an empty loginuse parameter and an empty loginpas parameter in the URI.
The bug was discovered 03/08/2017. The weakness was presented 04/25/2017 (Website). The advisory is shared for download at seclists.org. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2017-8225 since 04/25/2017. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploitation doesn't require any form of authentication.
