Multiple memory corruption issues existed in WebKit. These issues were addressed through improved memory handling.
This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2013-5128 since 08/15/2013. The exploitation is known to be difficult. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation. There are neither technical details nor an exploit publicly available. The current price for an exploit might be approx. USD $5k-$25k (estimation calculated on 05/25/2021). It is expected to see the exploit prices for this product increasing in the near future.

The vulnerability scanner Nessus provides a plugin with the ID 70257 (Apple TV < 6.0 Multiple Vulnerabilities), which helps to determine the existence of the flaw in a target environment. It is assigned to the family Misc. and running in the context r. The commercial vulnerability scanner Qualys is able to test this issue with plugin 121756 (Apple iTunes Prior to 11.1.4 Multiple Vulnerabilities (HT6001)).
