A SIGFPE is raised in the function box_blur_line of rsvg-filter.c in GNOME librsvg 2.40.17 during an attempted parse of a crafted SVG file, because of incorrect protection against division by zero.
The bug was discovered 06/27/2017. The weakness was disclosed 07/19/2017 as Bug 783835 as not defined bug report (Bugzilla). The advisory is shared for download at bugzilla.gnome.org. This vulnerability was named CVE-2017-11464 since 07/19/2017. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation.
