Affected by this issue is some unknown processing of the component Access Policy Logout Page. The manipulation with an unknown input leads to a cross site scripting vulnerability. The product receives input from an upstream component, but it does not neutralize or incorrectly neutralizes special characters such as "<", ">", and "&" that could be interpreted as web-scripting elements when they are sent to a downstream component that processes web pages. The advisory is available at support.f5.com. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be launched remotely. Required for exploitation is a simple authentication. Successful exploitation requires user interaction by the victim. The technical details are unknown and an exploit is not available. This vulnerability is assigned to T1059.007 by the MITRE ATT&CK project.
Upgrading to version 11.4.0 eliminates this vulnerability. The upgrade is hosted for download at support.f5.com. A possible mitigation has been published immediately after the disclosure of the vulnerability.
