The ReadPICTImage function in coders/pict.c in ImageMagick 7.0.6-3 allows attackers to cause a denial of service (memory leak) via a crafted file.

The bug was discovered 07/25/2017. The weakness was presented 08/07/2017 by Venustech with Adlab of Venustech (GitHub Repository). It is possible to read the advisory at github.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2017-12654 since 08/07/2017. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. It demands that the victim is doing some kind of user interaction. Technical details of the vulnerability are known, but there is no available exploit.
