Adobe Flash Player versions 26.0.0.137 and earlier have an exploitable type confusion vulnerability when parsing SWF files. Successful exploitation could lead to arbitrary code execution.

The bug was discovered 08/08/2017. The weakness was published 08/08/2017 by Natalie Silvanovich with Google Project Zero as APSB17-23 as confirmed security bulletin (Website). The advisory is shared at helpx.adobe.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2017-3106 since 12/02/2016. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. It demands that the victim is doing some kind of user interaction. Technical details are unknown but a public exploit is available.
