In ImageMagick 7.0.6-6, a memory leak vulnerability was found in the function WritePCXImage in coders/pcx.c, which allows attackers to cause a denial of service via a crafted file.
The bug was discovered 08/11/2017. The weakness was published 08/22/2017 by Venustech with Adlab of Venustech (GitHub Repository). The advisory is available at github.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2017-13058 since 08/22/2017. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation. Successful exploitation requires user interaction by the victim. Technical details are known, but there is no available exploit.
