The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. Directory traversal vulnerability in get_file.php in phpMyBackupPro 2.1 through 2.5 allows remote attackers to read arbitrary files via a .. (dot dot) in the view parameter. NOTE: the provenance of this information is unknown; the details are obtained solely from third party information. NOTE: this vulnerability exists due to an incomplete fix to CVE-2015-4180.

The bug was discovered 06/04/2015. The weakness was released 08/25/2017 (oss-sec). The advisory is available at openwall.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2015-4181 since 06/04/2015.
