The bug was discovered 03/18/2015. The weakness was shared 09/13/2017 by Dani with Drupal Security Team (oss-sec). The advisory is available at openwall.com. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2015-2750 since 03/26/2015. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The successful exploitation requires a authentication.
