Only traffic directed to the affected system can be used to exploit this vulnerability. This vulnerability affects Cisco ASA Software configured only in routed firewall mode in only single context mode.
The weakness was presented 10/09/2013 as cisco-sa-20131009-asa as confirmed advisory (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at tools.cisco.com. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2013-5510 since 08/22/2013. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploitation doesn't need any form of authentication.
