In Poppler 0.59.0, a floating point exception exists in the isImageInterpolationRequired() function in Splash.cc via a crafted PDF document.
The bug was discovered 09/13/2017. The weakness was presented 09/17/2017 (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at bugs.freedesktop.org. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2017-14518 since 09/17/2017. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation.
