Multiple cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerabilities in the user-login-history plugin through 1.5.2 for WordPress allow remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via the (1) date_from, (2) date_to, (3) user_id, (4) username, (5) country_name, (6) browser, (7) operating_system, or (8) ip_address parameter to admin/partials/listing/listing.php.

The bug was discovered 10/19/2017. The weakness was shared 10/24/2017 (GitHub Repository). The advisory is shared at github.com. This vulnerability is uniquely identified as CVE-2017-15867 since 10/24/2017. It is possible to initiate the attack remotely. No form of authentication is needed for exploitation. It demands that the victim is doing some kind of user interaction. Technical details are known, but no exploit is available. MITRE ATT&CK project uses the attack technique T1059.007 for this issue.

The vulnerability was handled as a non-public zero-day exploit for at least 5 days. During that time the estimated underground price was around $0-$5k. By approaching the search of inurl:admin/partials/listing/listing.php it is possible to find vulnerable targets with Google Hacking. The commercial vulnerability scanner Qualys is able to test this issue with plugin 11884 (WordPress User Login History Plugin Multiple Cross-Site Scripting Vulnerabilities).

There is no information about possible countermeasures known. It may be suggested to replace the affected object with an alternative product.
