A vulnerability has been found in Google Chrome up to 60 (Web Browser) and classified as critical. This vulnerability affects some unknown processing of the component Extensions. Type confusion in extensions JavaScript bindings in Google Chrome prior to 60.0.3112.78 for Mac, Windows, Linux, and Android allowed a remote attacker to potentially maliciously modify objects via a crafted HTML page.
The bug was discovered 07/25/2017. The weakness was presented 10/27/2017 by Takeshi Terada (Website). The advisory is shared for download at security.gentoo.org. This vulnerability was named CVE-2017-5094 since 01/02/2017. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. Successful exploitation requires user interaction by the victim. There are neither technical details nor an exploit publicly available. The current price for an exploit might be approx.
