Multiple issues were addressed by updating to version 2.4.27.

The vulnerability was handled as a non-public zero-day exploit for at least 2 days. During that time the estimated underground price was around $5k-$25k. The vulnerability scanner Nessus provides a plugin with the ID 102013 (SUSE SLES12 Security Update : apache2 (SUSE-SU-2017:1961-1)), which helps to determine the existence of the flaw in a target environment. It is assigned to the family SuSE Local Security Checks and running in the context l. The commercial vulnerability scanner Qualys is able to test this issue with plugin 157536 (Oracle Enterprise Linux Security Update for httpd (ELSA-2017-2478)).

Upgrading to version 10.13.1 eliminates this vulnerability. A possible mitigation has been published immediately after the disclosure of the vulnerability.
