A vulnerability was found in ACTi Camera A1D-500-V6.11.31-AC. It has been declared as problematic. This vulnerability affects an unknown functionality of the component HTTP GET Handler. ACTi cameras including the D, B, I, and E series using firmware version A1D-500-V6.11.31-AC have a web application that uses the GET method to process requests that contain sensitive information such as user account name and password, which can expose that information through the browser's history, referrers, web logs, and other sources.
The bug was discovered 03/07/2017. The weakness was shared 12/16/2017 as confirmed advisory (CERT.org). The advisory is available at kb.cert.org. This vulnerability was named CVE-2017-3185 since 12/05/2016. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be initiated remotely.
