In ImageMagick 7.0.7-1 Q16, a memory leak vulnerability was found in the function ReadMATImage in coders/mat.c, which allow remote attackers to cause a denial of service via a crafted file.
The bug was discovered 09/06/2017. The weakness was published 01/12/2018 by Venustech with Adlab of Venustech (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at securityfocus.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2017-18027 since 01/12/2018. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation.
