The weakness was published 11/12/2013 by Jon Butler with MWR Labs/InfoSecurity as Stable Channel Update as confirmed blog post (Blogspot). The advisory is shared at googlechromereleases.blogspot.ch. The public release has been coordinated with Google. This vulnerability is known as CVE-2013-6624 since 11/05/2013. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploitation doesn't need any form of authentication. Technical details are unknown but a public exploit is available.
It is declared as proof-of-concept. We expect the 0-day to have been worth approximately $25k-$100k.
