The bug was discovered 12/25/2004. The weakness was published 01/18/2005 by Pete Finnigan, Alexander Kornbrust and Stephen Kost u (Website). The advisory is shared for download at otn.oracle.com. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2005-0297 since 02/10/2005. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploitation doesn't require any form of authentication. There are neither technical details nor an exploit publicly available. The MITRE ATT&CK project declares the attack technique as T1505.

The vulnerability was handled as a non-public zero-day exploit for at least 24 days. During that time the estimated underground price was around $5k-$25k.
