The JavaScript implementation in Mozilla Firefox before 26.0, Firefox ESR 24.x before 24.2, Thunderbird before 24.2, and SeaMonkey before 2.23 does not properly enforce certain typeset restrictions on the generation of GetElementIC typed array stubs, which has unspecified impact and remote attack vectors.

The weakness was shared 12/10/2013 by Eric Faust with Mozilla as MFSA2013-115 as confirmed advisory (Website). The advisory is shared for download at mozilla.org. The vendor cooperated in the coordination of the public release. This vulnerability was named CVE-2013-5615 since 08/26/2013. The exploitation appears to be difficult. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. Successful exploitation requires user interaction by the victim. There are neither technical details nor an exploit publicly available. The MITRE ATT&CK project declares the attack technique as T1068.
