An issue was discovered in certain Apple products. iOS before 11.2 is affected. Safari before 11.0.2 is affected. iCloud before 7.2 on Windows is affected. iTunes before 12.7.2 on Windows is affected. tvOS before 11.2 is affected. watchOS before 4.2 is affected. The issue involves the "WebKit" component. It allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code or cause a denial of service (memory corruption and application crash) via a crafted web site.

The bug was discovered 01/22/2018. The weakness was published 04/03/2018 by Jeonghoon Shin (OSS-Fuzz) with Theori (Website). The advisory is shared for download at usn.ubuntu.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2017-13884 since 08/30/2017. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation. Successful exploitation requires user interaction by the victim. There are neither technical details nor an exploit publicly available.

The vulnerability was handled as a non-public zero-day exploit for at least 11 days. During that time the estimated underground price was around $5k-$25k.
