A vulnerability in the conferencing component of Mitel MiVoice Connect, versions R1707-PREM SP1 (21.84.5535.0) and earlier, and Mitel ST 14.2, versions GA27 (19.49.5200.0) and earlier, could allow an unauthenticated attacker to conduct a reflected cross-site scripting (XSS) attack due to insufficient validation for the launch_presenter.php page. A successful exploit could allow an attacker to execute arbitrary scripts.
The bug was discovered 01/31/2018. The weakness was released 04/25/2018 (Website). The advisory is available at mitel.com. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2018-9101 since 03/27/2018. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploitation doesn't require any form of authentication. Successful exploitation requires user interaction by the victim. Technical details are known, but there is no available exploit. This vulnerability is assigned to T1059.007 by the MITRE ATT&CK project.
