In the Open Build Service (OBS) before version 2.4.6 the CSRF protection is incorrectly disabled in the web interface, allowing for requests without the user's consent.

The bug was discovered 03/27/2014. The weakness was disclosed 06/08/2018 as Bug 870606 as not defined bug report (Bugzilla). The advisory is shared at The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2014-0594 since 12/28/2013. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. It demands that the victim is doing some kind of user interaction. Neither technical details nor an exploit are publicly available.

The vulnerability was handled as a non-public zero-day exploit for at least 1534 days. During that time the estimated underground price was around $0-$5k.

Upgrading to version 2.4.6 eliminates this vulnerability.
