Use-after-free vulnerability in the OnWindowRemovingFromRootWindow function in content/browser/web_contents/web_contents_view_aura.cc in Google Chrome before 32.0.1700.76 on Windows and before 32.0.1700.77 on Mac OS X and Linux allows user-assisted remote attackers to cause a denial of service or possibly have unspecified other impact via vectors involving certain print-preview and tab-switch actions that interact with a speech input element.

The weakness was published 11/15/2013 by Khalil Zhani (lpilorz) with OUSPG as 318791 as confirmed bug report (Website). The advisory is shared for download at code.google.com. The public release has been coordinated with the vendor. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2013-6645 since 11/05/2013. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation. Technical details as well as a public exploit are known. The current price for an exploit might be approx. USD $0-$5k (estimation calculated on 06/08/2021). It is expected to see the exploit prices for this product increasing in the near future.

It is declared as proof-of-concept. As 0-day the estimated underground price was around $25k-$100k. The vulnerability scanner Nessus provides a plugin with the ID 72538 (Debian DSA-2862-1 : chromium-browser - several vulnerabilities), which helps to determine the existence of the flaw in a target environment.
