The weakness was disclosed 02/08/2005 by Andreas Sandblad and Michael Krax (http-equiv) with Secunia Research und Microsoft as MS05-014 as confirmed bulletin (Technet). The advisory is shared at microsoft.com. This vulnerability is uniquely identified as CVE-2005-0053 since 01/11/2005. It is possible to initiate the attack remotely. No form of authentication is needed for exploitation. It demands that the victim is doing some kind of user interaction. Technical details and a public exploit are known.
