The PAN-OS web interface administration page in PAN-OS 6.1.20 and earlier, PAN-OS 7.1.17 and earlier, PAN-OS 8.0.10 and earlier, and PAN-OS 8.1.1 and earlier may allow an attacker to inject arbitrary JavaScript or HTML.

The bug was discovered 06/28/2018. The weakness was shared 07/03/2018 (Website). The advisory is available at securityfocus.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2018-9337 since 04/05/2018. The attack may be launched remotely. The requirement for exploitation is a simple authentication. Successful exploitation requires user interaction by the victim. The technical details are unknown and an exploit is not available. This vulnerability is assigned to T1059.007 by the MITRE ATT&CK project.

The vulnerability was handled as a non-public zero-day exploit for at least 5 days. During that time the estimated underground price was around $0-$5k.
