The InterfaceGenerator handler in JBoss Seam Remoting in JBoss Seam 2 framework 2.3.1 and earlier, as used in JBoss Web Framework Kit, allows remote attackers to bypass the WebRemote annotation restriction and obtain information about arbitrary classes and methods on the server classpath via unspecified vectors.

The weakness was shared 12/18/2013 by Jon Passki with Coverity Security Research Laboratory as Bug 1044794 as confirmed bug report (Bugzilla). The advisory is available at bugzilla.redhat.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2013-6448 since 11/04/2013. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. Technical details are known, but there is no available exploit. This vulnerability is assigned to T1068 by the MITRE ATT&CK project.

Upgrading to version 2.4.0 eliminates this vulnerability. The upgrade is hosted for download at github.com. A possible mitigation has been published 2 months after the disclosure of the vulnerability. The vulnerability will be addressed with the following lines of code:
