The StoreBuffer::ExemptPopularPages function in store-buffer.cc in Google V8 before 3.22.24.16, as used in Google Chrome before 32.0.1700.102, allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (memory corruption) or possibly have unspecified other impact via vectors that trigger incorrect handling of "popular pages."

The weakness was shared 01/08/2014 by Christian Holler as Stable Channel Update as confirmed blog post (Blog). The advisory is shared for download at googlechromereleases.blogspot.com. The vendor cooperated in the coordination of the public release. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2013-6650 since 11/05/2013. The exploitability is told to be easy. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploitation doesn't require any form of authentication. There are known technical details, but no exploit is available. The current price for an exploit might be approx. USD $5k-$25k (estimation calculated on 06/08/2021). It is expected to see the exploit prices for this product increasing in the near future.
