A vulnerability was found in ovirt-aaa-jdbc-tool up to 1.1.2 (Virtualization Software). It has been declared as critical. When updating a password in the rhvm database the ovirt-aaa-jdbc-tool tools before 1.1.3 fail to correctly check for the current password if it is expired. This would allow access to an attacker with access to change the password on accounts with expired passwords, gaining access to those accounts.

The bug was discovered 02/06/2017. The weakness was disclosed 07/27/2018 as not defined bug report (Bugzilla). The advisory is shared for download at bugzilla.redhat.com.
