An issue was discovered in BTITeam XBTIT. By using String.replace and eval, it is possible to bypass the includes/crk_protection.php anti-XSS mechanism that looks for a number of dangerous fingerprints.

The bug was discovered 09/03/2018. The weakness was published 09/05/2018 (Website). The advisory is shared at rastating.github.io. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2018-15676 since 08/21/2018. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. It demands that the victim is doing some kind of user interaction. Technical details are known, but no exploit is available. MITRE ATT&CK project uses the attack technique T1211 for this issue.
