In Artifex Ghostscript before 9.24, attackers able to supply crafted PostScript files could use a type confusion in the setcolor function to crash the interpreter or possibly have unspecified other impact.
The bug was discovered 08/24/2018. The weakness was disclosed 09/05/2018 by Tavis Ormandy (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at git.ghostscript.com.
