The VMware Content Locker for iOS prior to 4.14 contains a data protection vulnerability in the SQLite database. This vulnerability relates to unencrypted filenames and associated metadata in SQLite database for the Content Locker.

The bug was discovered 09/05/2018. The weakness was released 09/11/2018 (Website). The advisory is available at vmware.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2018-6976 since 02/13/2018. Local access is required to approach this attack. The requirement for exploitation is a simple authentication. The technical details are unknown and an exploit is not available.
