The Belkin WeMo Home Automation firmware before 3949 does not properly use the STUN and TURN protocols, which allows remote attackers to hijack connections and possibly have unspecified other impact by leveraging access to a single WeMo device.

The weakness was disclosed 02/18/2014 by Mike Davis with IOActive as VU#656302 as confirmed vulnerability note (CERT.org). The advisory is shared for download at kb.cert.org. The public release has been coordinated in cooperation with the vendor. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2013-6949 since 12/04/2013. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation. There are neither technical details nor an exploit publicly available. The MITRE ATT&CK project declares the attack technique as T1068.
