A security vulnerability in HPE Integrated Lights-Out 5 (iLO 5) for HPE Gen10 Servers prior to v1.35, HPE Integrated Lights-Out 4 (iLO 4) prior to v2.61, HPE Integrated Lights-Out 3 (iLO 3) prior to v1.90 could be remotely exploited to execute arbitrary code.

The bug was discovered 09/13/2018. The weakness was disclosed 09/27/2018 (Website). The advisory is available at support.hpe.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2018-7105 since 02/14/2018. The exploitation is known to be easy. The attack may be launched remotely. A simple authentication is needed for exploitation. The technical details are unknown and an exploit is not available. This vulnerability is assigned to T1211 by the MITRE ATT&CK project.

The vulnerability was handled as a non-public zero-day exploit for at least 14 days. During that time the estimated underground price was around $5k-$25k.
