The bug was discovered 09/09/2018. The weakness was released 10/15/2018 (Website). The advisory is shared at lists.opensuse.org. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2017-5934 since 02/07/2017. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation.
