JBoss BPM Suite 6 is vulnerable to a reflected XSS via dashbuilder. Remote attackers can entice authenticated users that have privileges to access dashbuilder (usually admins) to click on links to /dashbuilder/Controller containing malicious scripts. Successful exploitation would allow execution of script code within the context of the affected user.

The bug was discovered 08/07/2018. The weakness was published 10/30/2018 by Security Team with Red Hat as not defined bug report (Bugzilla). The advisory is shared at bugzilla.redhat.com. This vulnerability is uniquely identified as CVE-2016-6343 since 07/26/2016. It is possible to initiate the attack remotely. A authentication is required for exploitation. It demands that the victim is doing some kind of user interaction. Technical details are known, but no exploit is available.
