Incorrect object lifecycle in PDFium in Google Chrome prior to 71.0.3578.80 allowed a remote attacker to potentially exploit heap corruption via a crafted PDF file.
The bug was discovered 12/04/2018. The weakness was released 12/11/2018 by Guang Gong with Qihoo 360 (Website). The advisory is shared for download at chromereleases.googleblog.com. This vulnerability is traded as CVE-2018-18336 since 10/15/2018. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploitation doesn't require any form of authentication. Successful exploitation requires user interaction by the victim. There are neither technical details nor an exploit publicly available. The current price for an exploit might be approx.
