An integer overflow in path handling lead to a use after free in Skia in Google Chrome prior to 71.0.3578.80 allowed a remote attacker to potentially exploit heap corruption via a crafted HTML page.

The bug was discovered 12/04/2018. The weakness was released 12/11/2018 by Guang Gong with Qihoo 360 (Website). The advisory is shared for download at chromereleases.googleblog.com. This vulnerability is handled as CVE-2018-18356 since 10/15/2018. The attack may be launched remotely. No form of authentication is required for exploitation. Successful exploitation requires user interaction by the victim. There are neither technical details nor an exploit publicly available. The current price for an exploit might be approx.
