Chamilo LMS version 1.11.8 contains a main/inc/lib/CoursesAndSessionsCatalog.class.php SQL injection, allowing users with access to the sessions catalogue (which may optionally be made public) to extract and/or modify database information.
The bug was discovered 12/17/2018. The weakness was disclosed 12/21/2018 (Website). The advisory is shared for download at github.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2018-20329 since 12/21/2018. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be initiated remotely. A single authentication is needed for exploitation. There are known technical details, but no exploit is available.
