Affected by this issue is the function dir_from/dir_to of the file wp-admin/admin-ajax.php. The manipulation with the input value ../ leads to a path traversal vulnerability. The Media File Manager plugin 1.4.2 for WordPress allows arbitrary file movement via a ../ directory traversal in the dir_from and dir_to parameters of an mrelocator_move action to the wp-admin/admin-ajax.php URI.

The bug was discovered 05/11/2018. The weakness was shared 01/31/2019 as EDB-ID 45809 as not defined exploit (Exploit-DB). The advisory is shared for download at exploit-db.com.
