Cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in brightmail/setting/compliance/DlpConnectFlow$view.flo in the management console in Symantec Messaging Gateway 10.x before 10.5.2 allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via the displayTab parameter.
The weakness was presented 04/22/2014 by William Costa as SYM14-006 as confirmed advisory (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at symantec.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2014-1648 since 01/23/2014. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. It demands that the victim is doing some kind of user interaction. Technical details as well as a public exploit are known.
