The manipulation of the argument username/password with the input value x' or 1=1-- leads to a sql injection vulnerability. The CWE definition for the vulnerability is CWE-89. Multiple SQL injection vulnerabilities in the administration login page in D-Link DAP-1350 (Rev. A1) with firmware 1.14 and earlier allow remote attackers to execute arbitrary SQL commands via the (1) username or (2) password.

The weakness was released 05/08/2014 with SensePost as SAP10023 as confirmed advisory (Website). The advisory is available at securityadvisories.dlink.com. The public release was coordinated with the vendor. This vulnerability was named CVE-2014-3872 since 05/27/2014. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. Technical details and also a public exploit are known. This vulnerability is assigned to T1505 by the MITRE ATT&CK project.
