The weakness was published 05/13/2014 by John Butler as Stable Channel Update, May 2014 as confirmed release notes (Blog). The advisory is available at googlechromereleases.blogspot.ch. This vulnerability was named CVE-2014-1741 since 01/29/2014. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. Technical details are known, but there is no available exploit.
