The labels gadget in Jira before version 7.13.2, and from version 8.0.0 before version 8.0.2 allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary HTML or JavaScript via a cross site scripting (XSS) vulnerability in the jql parameter.

The bug was discovered 04/29/2019. The weakness was shared 05/03/2019 (Website). The advisory is available at securityfocus.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2019-3400 since 12/19/2018. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. Technical details are known, but there is no available exploit.
