In firmware version MS_2.6.9900 of Columbia Weather MicroServer, a stored Cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability allows remote authenticated users to inject arbitrary web script via changestationname.php.

The bug was discovered 03/19/2019. The weakness was presented 06/18/2019. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2018-18875 since 10/31/2018. The attack may be initiated remotely. The successful exploitation needs a simple authentication. Technical details are known, but no exploit is available. MITRE ATT&CK project uses the attack technique T1059.007 for this issue.

The vulnerability was handled as a non-public zero-day exploit for at least 91 days. During that time the estimated underground price was around $0-$5k. By approaching the search of inurl:changestationname.php it is possible to find vulnerable targets with Google Hacking.
