In Grafana 2.x through 6.x before 6.3.4, parts of the HTTP API allow unauthenticated use. This makes it possible to run a denial of service attack against the server running Grafana.

The weakness was presented 09/03/2019 (Website). It is possible to read the advisory at community.grafana.com. The identification of this vulnerability is CVE-2019-15043 since 08/14/2019. The attack may be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is needed for a successful exploitation. The technical details are unknown and an exploit is not publicly available. The attack technique deployed by this issue is T1068 according to MITRE ATT&CK.

Upgrading to version 6.3.4 eliminates this vulnerability.
