A vulnerability has been found in Bisonware FTP Server 4.1 (File Transfer Software) and classified as critical. This vulnerability affects an unknown code block of the component Command Handler. The manipulation of the argument USER/LIST/CWD

Buffer overflows in Bisonware FTP server prior to 4.1 allow remote attackers to cause a denial of service, and possibly execute arbitrary commands, via long (1) USER, (2) LIST, or (3) CWD commands.
The weakness was released 05/17/1999 by Arne Vidstrom as confirmed posting (NTBugtraq). The advisory is shared for download at marc.theaimsgroup.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-1999-1510.
