Microsoft SQL Server allows local users to obtain database passwords via the Data Transformation Service (DTS) package Properties dialog, aka the "DTS Password" vulnerability.
The weakness was shared 05/30/2000 as MS00-041 as confirmed bulletin (Technet). The advisory is shared for download at microsoft.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2000-0485. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack needs to be approached locally. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation.
