The default configuration of Apache 1.3.12 in SuSE Linux 6.4 enables WebDAV, which allows remote attackers to list arbitrary diretories via the PROPFIND HTTP request method.

The weakness was published 11/14/2000 by nemo (Website). The advisory is shared for download at atstake.com. This vulnerability was named CVE-2000-0869. The exploitation appears to be easy. The attack can be initiated remotely. No form of authentication is required for a successful exploitation. There are known technical details, but no exploit is available.
