A vulnerability was found in Transsoft Broker FTP Server 5.5 (File Transfer Software). It has been rated as critical. This issue affects some unknown functionality of the component FTP Command Handler. The manipulation of the argument DELETE/LIST
with an unknown input leads to a path traversal vulnerability. Using CWE to declare the problem leads to CWE-22. The product uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the product does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. Impacted is confidentiality, integrity, and availability. The summary by CVE is:
Directory traversal vulnerability in Transsoft FTP Broker before 5.5 allows attackers to (1) delete arbitrary files via DELETE, or (2) list arbitrary directories via LIST, via a .. (dot dot) in the file name.
